Make the basis clear
General buying guidance, researched comparisons, and hands-on reviews are different types of work. We identify the basis of a recommendation and do not imply testing that has not happened.
Keep claims grounded
Product specifications should come from identifiable sources. Prices and availability can change; shoppers should check the retailer’s current terms before buying.
Explain the tradeoffs
Useful guidance addresses fit, limitations, maintenance, and cost—not just appealing features. No product is the right choice for everyone.
Disclose commercial relationships
Affiliate links, sponsored placements, and provided products will be identified where applicable. Compensation does not justify unsupported claims.
Correct and update
When material information changes or an error is identified, the affected content should be reviewed and corrected.
Product status
We research listings and specifications. We have not tested every item, and we do not imply a hands-on test when we have not done one.
